Fitting out the deck area commences

The forward bollards are in place. They are made of steel and are functional as they are set in timbers about 15mm thick. They have had under coat applied and will soon be painted black with the green of the decking reinstated.

The whole of the forward part of the model.

The forward deck now has more detail added.

The mast on the fore deck.

Along the side of the craft towards the stern there are a pair of bollards each side with a cross piece. The bollards are made from steel turned to size and cross drill to take a further section of steel. The are then mounted well down into the substructure timbers so that there can be used when necessary.
